Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive Lean culture across our site. The role focuses on eliminating waste, improving flow, and supporting cost‑reduction initiatives while aligning with our global Operational Excellence strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create and implement the site’s Lean vision and Lean Maturity Index to establish an Operational Centre of Excellence.
• Lead, facilitate and coach A3 projects, cross‑functional Kaizen events and multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver best‑practice process improvements.
• Collaborate with the Global Operational Excellence Lead to deploy global standards, share best practices and communicate results.
• Manage the site’s cost‑reduction program, maintain and report cost‑saving data against business targets.
• Mentor and train site personnel to raise Lean awareness and build sustainable capability.
• Apply CI tools and methodologies to challenge current processes, implement improvements and ensure results are locked in.
• Identify improvement opportunities aligned with safety, quality, delivery, cost and people objectives, and provide data‑driven justification.
• Utilise electronic data collection platforms and analysis tools for performance management.

Required profile

• Proven experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Kaizen, TPM, SMED and RCA.
• Strong track record of delivering measurable improvements in an operational environment.
• Excellent facilitation and coaching skills for informal and formal teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple activities and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving mindset with a methodical, organised approach.
• Willingness to learn, develop new skills and share knowledge.
