Contract Expert

About the role

Airbus Helicopters España is looking for a Contract Expert in Getafe. The role acts as the independent, neutral "Voice of the Contract" within a newly created transverse Center of Excellence, safeguarding company profitability, strengthening a contract culture and preventing value leakage. It works as an impartial T&C and claims specialist, embedded in operational teams to support business agility.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the neutral expert for interpreting and enforcing strategic commercial terms across AH, AHD and AHE.
• Maximise margin recovery with P&L holders (at least 1% gross margin improvement on Strategic Contracts) and prevent financial loss from contract value leakage.
• Manage contractual claims and breaches from detection to documentation, and advise on supplier-failure mitigation and complex T&C drafting.
• Provide authoritative guidance on contract clauses and liability to plateau teams via the Hotline.
• Draft and secure contractual communications within strict turnaround times.
• Document modifications and optimise data capture using Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools.
• Deliver training modules to operational teams on risk prevention and contract culture.

Required profile

• Expertise in complex contract drafting and aerospace/defense T&Cs.
• Understanding of how contracts affect margins and financial performance.
• Ability to stay operationally independent and act as a neutral counter-power.
• Strong collaboration skills in matrix organisations, influencing without hierarchical authority.
• Fluent English; French, German or Spanish is an advantage.
