Customer and Events Manager

About the role

Biogen is looking for a Customer and Events Manager (Management level) to lead, drive and orchestrate its participation in international congresses outside the US and in other prioritised external events. The role works with key stakeholders across the company, including Global and Regional medical and commercial teams, covering everything from planning and budgeting to post-event assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Define the ownership of the execution plan, budget and outcomes for ex-US congresses, meetings and events
• Drive discussions with stakeholders to prioritise and align congress activities, resource allocation, budgets and timelines
• Plan and execute large Biogen meetings, events and congresses end-to-end, from strategic planning and budgeting to post-event evaluation
• Align with US CMC and local logistics and compliance teams on global congress policies and processes
• Work with procurement to secure cost-effective external vendor solutions and shape supplier relationships through multi-year negotiations
• Lead the Customer Events Associate and supporting team, and deliver a differentiated customer experience
• Contribute to global congress policies and strategies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS); MBA a plus
• At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Significant experience organising large events and top-tier pharmaceutical congresses
• Track record leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects across geographies
• Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance
• Fluent English; additional languages beneficial
