Cyber Security Engineer – Barcelona

About the role

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen its international technology environment. Based in Barcelona, you will join the International Security Operations team to enhance detection, investigation and response capabilities across a global insurance platform.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and improve security controls for endpoints, servers, identities, networks, cloud services and business applications.
• Design, implement and continuously refine preventative and detective security measures.
• Investigate security incidents, perform threat analysis, and support digital forensic activities, containment and remediation.
• Monitor security tools, operational metrics and threat intelligence to boost detection and reduce cyber risk.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, operational procedures, playbooks and knowledge documentation.
• Support Incident, Major Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to strengthen protection, detection, response and recovery capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Security Operations, Security Engineering, Incident Response or Infrastructure Security.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
