About the role

Qaracter is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join its strategic cybersecurity initiatives. The role focuses on strengthening security controls, ensuring compliance, and driving AI‑powered automation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cybersecurity and technology risk management activities for assigned products and business areas.
• Support the implementation of the global cybersecurity strategy and security controls.
• Assess and manage cybersecurity and technology risks across projects, third‑parties, systems, and information assets.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Automate manual security controls and operational processes using AI technologies.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to improve governance and operational efficiency.
• Produce security reports, monitor compliance, and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Approximately 3 years of experience as a Cyber Security Officer or in related cybersecurity/IT roles.
• Experience performing security assessments, technology risk analysis, or security control reviews.
• Practical knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance processes.
• Intermediate to advanced experience using AI development tools to automate workflows and security operations.
• Experience working with APIs, databases, and integration/orchestration tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
