Data Analyst / Data Engineer (Commercial Insurance)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our global Commercial Insurance team. As a Data Analyst / Data Engineer you will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, analyse complex datasets, develop reports and visualisations, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to turn insights into actionable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into data‑driven solutions.
• Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive performance.
• Develop clear reports, dashboards, and visualisations to support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement improvements based on analysis.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across various sources and processes.

Required profile

• Professional experience working with data and exposure to data‑engineering concepts.
• Proficient in SQL for querying and data manipulation, with knowledge of query optimisation and indexing.
• Experience with cloud‑based technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Scala or R.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional European languages are a plus.
