Data Analyst Support Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is hiring a Data Analyst in Getafe (Madrid) to join its Data & Analytics Team. The role acts as a key link between business functions, the data ecosystem and the solutions requested, helping turn large datasets into strategic assets while supporting data governance in defence and space programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Gather data from internal and external sources, clean and process it to ensure high data quality
• Apply statistical and analytical techniques to extract insights and avoid bias in decisions
• Create data visualisations, charts and dashboards and advise users on best practices
• Prepare and present reports to stakeholders
• Maintain analytical tools and software, ensuring data security, privacy and compliance
• Coach business functions and share best practices with the wider Airbus data community

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline
• Proven experience in data analysis, data preparation and working with complex datasets
• Advanced English
• Nice to have: aerospace, defence or industrial manufacturing experience, and knowledge of big data or machine learning

Required skills

• Statistics and probability (hypothesis testing, Monte Carlo simulations, confidence intervals)
• Data analysis and visualization tools such as Python/R, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI or QlikSense
• Communication, storytelling and coaching skills
