Data Developer – Python & Databricks

About the role

Talan is seeking a Data Developer with strong Python and Databricks expertise to design and implement data processing and analytics solutions for large‑scale environments. The position is remote within Spain and offers the chance to work on international projects for a multicultural team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytics solutions using Python and Databricks.
• Design, optimise, and automate data consolidation and transformation processes for high‑volume datasets.
• Manage relational databases, particularly Oracle Exadata, and work with non‑relational storage on S3.
• Implement batch scheduling and automation with Control‑M.
• Generate reports and key performance indicators for data exploitation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Python and Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of Python development and advanced PL/SQL.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata and S3‑based non‑relational databases.
• Proficiency in designing scalable data transformation processes.
• Familiarity with AI techniques applied to data processing.
