Data Engineer (Databricks, Python, Spark)

About the role

Join ServiZurich, the technology arm of Zurich Insurance Group, as a Data Engineer in the Investment Accounting and Administration department. You will design, develop, and maintain cloud‑based data pipelines and databases using Databricks, Python, and Spark to support investment management and financial data analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain complex data pipeline products for business‑critical operations and large‑scale analytics.
• Collaborate with global investment professionals to unlock value from Bloomberg and other financial data sources.
• Support internal Investment Management clients, understanding their data needs and challenges.
• Promote best practices, standards and technology choices across the team.
• Continuously learn emerging data‑engineering and AI technologies and share insights with the team.

Required profile

• 3+ years of Data Engineering experience, including at least 2 years building Databricks pipelines.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python/PySpark/Scala and SparkSQL.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable) and big‑data orchestration tools (Data Factory, Airflow, dbt, etc.).
• Experience with SQL, Delta Lake, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
• Fluent English and a positive, can‑do attitude.
