Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO)

About the role

The Hive Careers is looking for a commercially driven Deputy Chief Executive Officer to partner with the CEO in accelerating growth, improving profitability, and expanding across the Caribbean. This senior executive will translate strategic vision into measurable results, focusing on revenue generation, cost optimisation, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO to execute strategic and commercial priorities.
• Drive new revenue through business development, enterprise sales, and strategic partnerships.
• Protect existing revenue via client retention, account management, and contract oversight.
• Lead cost‑optimization and efficiency initiatives to improve margins.
• Oversee Sales, Operations, Talent Delivery and other core functions.
• Own P&L performance, budgets, forecasts, and key business KPIs.
• Negotiate high‑level commercial agreements and strengthen enterprise client relationships.
• Identify new markets, service offerings, and growth opportunities in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
• Implement scalable processes, technology adoption, automation, and performance management.
• Build and mentor high‑performing leadership teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in general management, commercial leadership, operations, consulting, staffing, HR technology or related B2B services.
• Proven ownership of P&L, revenue and profitability targets.
• Track record of generating and protecting revenue while optimizing costs.
• Experience managing enterprise clients, strategic partnerships and executive‑level stakeholders.
• Strong commercial, financial, strategic and operational acumen.
• Experience leading multiple business functions and senior teams.
• Regional or multi‑country leadership experience in the Caribbean is a plus.
