Derivatives Electrical Installation Designer

About the role

An opportunity for a Derivatives Electrical Installation Designer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The role is part of the Electrical System Installation Design Engineering team, focusing on turning electrical requirements into physically integrable solutions for aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Design and validate electrical harnesses and equipment installations from architecture through manufacturing support and in‑service activities.
• Translate electrical requirements into feasible installation solutions, defining location, routing and integration of equipment while respecting aircraft constraints.
• Develop installation designs using CATIA, following regulations, processes, methods and tools.
• Collaborate closely with electrical definition teams and other engineering departments to ensure consistency between requirements and physical implementation.
• Interface with technical stakeholders, adapting solutions throughout design, manufacturing and in‑service phases.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional engineering experience, preferably in electrical installation design and aircraft systems integration.
• Professional level Spanish and B2‑level English for meetings and transnational projects.
