Development Associate – Italian Market

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Development Associate to support investment analysis and development management for living projects across Italy. Based in the Madrid office, the role combines financial modelling, market research, feasibility studies, and project coordination, with regular travel to Italy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial modelling, valuation, and feasibility analysis for potential acquisitions and development opportunities.
• Develop and interpret complex financial models, including multi‑tier waterfall structures.
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and cash‑flow monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare financial and technical data for investment memorandums, pro‑forma construction budgets, and feasibility studies.
• Support planning and approvals processes, analysing zoning regulations and Italian development control requirements.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules, contribute to progress reporting, and manage relationships with consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Prepare investment papers, market reports, and presentations for internal committees and senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Based in Madrid with a focus on the Italian market.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Italy.
• Ability to support senior management with reporting and presentations.
