DevOps Engineer – Containers & OpenShift (Hybrid, Madrid)

About the role

SQUAD Group is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a public‑sector client in Madrid (El Escorial). You will be responsible for the reliability, performance and security of their containerised platform, working closely with development and infrastructure teams in a hybrid setting.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the OpenShift/Kubernetes container platform, ensuring stability and optimal performance.
• Deploy, monitor and manage application releases, including rollback strategies.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and tools such as Ansible.
• Monitor systems, diagnose incidents and drive root‑cause resolution.
• Manage access control and enforce security best practices within the container environment.
• Collaborate with client teams to align on operational priorities and standards.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure administration.
• Hands‑on expertise with container management (Docker, Kubernetes) and proven experience with OpenShift.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation scripting (Bash/Python, Ansible).
• Comfort working in public‑sector or highly regulated environments.
