Director of Compliance

About the role

The Director of Compliance provides senior leadership for compliance activities across skilled nursing and post‑acute care facilities. Reporting to the SVP, Associate Chief Compliance Officer, the role ensures that audits, investigations, training, and risk assessments are conducted efficiently and align with federal, state, and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute compliance audits of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze audit results to identify trends, root causes, and systemic risks.
• Partner with clinical, operational, and finance teams to develop and monitor corrective action plans.
• Conduct or coordinate investigations, ensuring timely, objective, and well‑documented outcomes.
• Design, deliver, and track compliance training programs, measuring effectiveness through assessments.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with risk management, legal, HR, IT, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare regular reports on audit findings and investigation results for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of leadership experience in compliance or clinical operations within the skilled‑nursing industry.
• Proven track record leading compliance audits and internal investigations in a healthcare setting.
• Strong analytical abilities, excellent communication, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while maintaining confidentiality.
