Director of Operations, Europe

About the role

The Director of Operations, Europe will lead manufacturing operations across GroupeSTAHL’s European network, covering sites in the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and Italy. This hands‑on leadership position is responsible for safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost performance while ensuring alignment with global manufacturing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety and EHS performance, promote a zero‑incident culture and ensure compliance with UK, EU, German, Spanish and Italian regulations.
• Deliver regional service, quality, productivity and conversion‑cost objectives; monitor KPIs and daily management systems.
• Identify operational risks, implement corrective actions and drive consistency in processes, reporting and performance management.
• Coach and develop site operations leaders, support succession planning and collaborate with HR on workforce planning.
• Lead lean manufacturing, operational excellence and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to global standards.

Required profile

• Proven senior manufacturing leadership experience in a multi‑site European environment.
• Strong track record of driving safety, quality and cost performance.
• Ability to work across different labor markets, languages and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent people leadership and development skills.
