Director of Product Analytics

About the role

Rover is seeking a Director of Product Analytics to shape how the company makes decisions about product experience, marketplace health, and overall strategy. This senior leader will head the Product Analytics team, partner with cross‑functional leaders, and turn complex data into clear business actions. The role is hybrid, requiring presence in the Barcelona office two days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop Rover’s Product Analytics team, including analysts and analytics managers, fostering technical depth and business impact.
• Set the analytics agenda for the product organization and align it with company priorities, marketplace health, customer experience, and long‑term growth.
• Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and executive leaders to identify high‑value questions, frame trade‑offs, and shape roadmap and operating decisions.
• Establish clear metric frameworks for product and marketplace performance, defining instrumentation, reporting standards, and regular readouts for senior leaders.
• Raise the bar for experimentation by guiding test design, ensuring statistical rigor, interpreting results, and driving follow‑through actions.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing analytics teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong product instincts and practical marketplace judgment to translate data into strategic decisions.
• Ability to set direction, manage managers, and dive deep into complex analytical problems when needed.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate; comfortable with a hybrid schedule (two days onsite).
