Director / Senior Associate – Operations & Supply Chain (Food & Beverage)

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director / Senior Associate to lead Operations & Supply Chain engagements for private‑equity‑backed food and beverage companies. You will work closely with deal teams and operating partners to diagnose performance gaps and drive sustainable improvements across manufacturing and supply‑chain environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assess operability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of food production facilities, including hygiene and safety standards.
• Analyze operational data to evaluate productivity, capacity, yield, equipment effectiveness, maintenance strategies, and supply‑chain flows.
• Gather hands‑on insights on the shop floor by collaborating with plant leadership, operations teams, and customers.
• Identify and quantify value‑creation opportunities such as lean transformations, waste reduction, footprint optimisation, outsourcing, and site consolidation.
• Develop end‑to‑end transformation roadmaps with impact assessments, risk mitigation, and implementation plans.
• Lead execution, ensure high‑quality deliverables, and manage client relationships to meet private‑equity sponsor expectations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Food & Beverage, FMCG, or related manufacturing sectors.
• Proven track record working with private‑equity sponsors or PE‑backed portfolio companies.
• Deep functional expertise in at least one area: Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations (S&OP/S&IOP), footprint optimisation, or operational excellence.
