About the role
We are seeking a passionate Music Education Teacher to join our elementary school team. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate music lessons that inspire creativity and support the holistic development of our students.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver music lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment for diverse learners.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to address different learning styles.
- Assess, record and report student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain classroom routines that promote respect, responsibility and positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and school leadership to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, parent‑teacher conferences and school events.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support student learning and well‑being.
- Identify and respond to the individual needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enrich learning and engagement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Music Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or licensure for the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience teaching elementary‑aged children (preferably 1–3 years or more).
- Familiarity with curriculum standards and assessment practices.
- Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and varying abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and school initiatives.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of child development and age‑appropriate teaching methods.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with educational technology and digital teaching tools.
- Ability to assess student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
- Collaborative mindset and teamwork orientation.
