Domain Architect – Data & Operations (Temporary)

About the role

Join the Architecture Delivery area within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid. You will help define and design the architecture for the company’s digital roadmap, focusing on data and operational solutions across multiple business domains.

Key responsibilities

• Acts as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future domain‑specific IT products and services and validates product designs.
• Collaborates with digital and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions using innovative technologies.
• Participates in all phases of the solution development life‑cycle, from research and design to testing, implementation and support.
• Aligns architecture strategy with the organization’s business goals and long‑term planning for information systems.
• Designs technical/functional architecture following standard frameworks (TOGAF, Archimate) and security requirements, using modelling tools and methodologies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as an IT/Solution Architect with strong focus on security, compliance, robustness, scalability and availability.
• Strong experience in one or more technical fields such as Advanced Analytics & AI, data‑centric platforms, Cloud Architecture, IT Infrastructure or networking.
• Experience in at least one domain: Analytics, Data Regulatory Compliance, Data Management or Artificial Intelligence.
• Proficiency with architecture modelling tools and methodologies (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect, Archimate, TOGAF).
• Advanced level of English and eligibility for security clearance.
