EMEA Category Sourcing Lead - MRO & Consumables

About the role

The EMEA Category Sourcing Lead for MRO & Consumables will drive the implementation of sourcing strategies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, supporting cost optimisation, supply assurance and ESG objectives. The role works closely with manufacturing sites, internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver measurable value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own end‑to‑end category strategies for consumables, uniforms, safety supplies, spare parts and related items.
• Identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities through supplier engagement and internal collaboration.
• Provide procurement support to all functional areas, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Analyse market trends, report issues and propose resolution plans to management.
• Design and execute sourcing work plans, commodity and supplier strategies.
• Resolve quality, cost, delivery and innovation challenges.
• Promote continuous improvement using PDCA and Deming principles.
• Manage supplier performance through standardized processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 5+ years of strategic or operational procurement experience.
• Prior experience in MRO/Consumables categories and direct/indirect spend management.
• Proven ability to work in multicultural environments and across decentralized plant structures.
• Preferred certification: Certified Procurement Manager (CPM).

Required skills

• Category knowledge of MRO/Consumables (manufacturing parts, tooling, process aids, chemicals, rubber industry).
• Proficiency with digital procurement tools.
