Energy & Sustainability Manager – Industrial Site

About the role

Airbus Operations in Illescas (Toledo) is looking for an Energy & Sustainability Manager to join the TFS & Energy Spain Team within the Facility Management Real Estate (FMRE) organization. You will help drive the site’s decarbonisation, energy reduction and resource‑efficiency initiatives while supporting production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the FMRE sustainability roadmap at the site level, focusing on decarbonisation, energy reduction and resource efficiency.
• Lead the Energy Management System (ISO 50001), ensuring compliance, auditing and continuous improvement.
• Manage turnkey efficiency projects (CAPEX/OPEX) from technical assessment and financial planning to execution.
• Oversee energy billing, supply contracts and budgets to optimise costs.
• Drive digitalisation using tools such as BMS and eSight for real‑time data analysis and optimisation.
• Coordinate with production and functional area leads to balance operational needs with energy‑saving targets.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Master level preferred, EQF7 / MECES 3).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in energy management and sustainability within industrial environments.
• Advanced English and Spanish (C1) communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other Airbus sites in Spain.

• Knowledge of energy markets.
