Engineer - Application & Projects

About the role

This position is responsible for systems design integration across product, physical and functional domains. The engineer will lead problem resolution, define requirements, and verify solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of engine and system operation, sub‑systems and their interactions.
• Integrate and manage interfaces between product systems.
• Design systems using Systems Engineering principles and robust design tools to achieve optimal solutions.
• Lead root‑cause investigations, safety alerts, quality concerns and major quality investigations.
• Plan and manage product changes, technical approvals and investigations.
• Verify that systems meet requirements and produce standardisation reports.
• Communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels, including customers.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary, potentially remote, teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical design methodologies.
• Understanding of cross‑discipline concepts such as manufacturing engineering, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, thermal and mechanical analysis, cost engineering and product definition.
• Experience with product integrity, liability and certification frameworks.
• Membership of a relevant professional body; Chartered status preferred in the UK.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
