Engineering Change Manager – Airbus Derivatives Programs

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is looking for an Engineering Change Manager to support the Airbus derivatives programmes, including the established A330 MRTT and the new A321 AEWC and A321 Patmar projects. You will work within the Configuration Design Engineering department in Getafe, driving configuration activities, process development and baseline preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the flow of design modifications and change requests.
• Support certification processes for authorities and track certification status of items.
• Prepare configuration reports at various project stages.
• Define criteria and requirements for the design product structure and support its creation.
• Represent the department in configuration meetings and ensure compliance with change procedures.
• Define and validate PLM requirements related to configuration management tasks.
• Update and maintain configuration procedures in the Design Organization Manual.
• Identify certification needs for specific development versions.

Required profile

• Aeronautical, industrial engineering or a related degree.
• 2‑3 years of experience in configuration management (CM Certification level 1 or higher).
• 2‑3 years of experience in design engineering for MRTT programmes, airworthiness or chief engineering (modifications and design changes).
• Proficiency in English and Spanish; French is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive and innovative mindset.
