Engineering Manager (Data & Platform)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Data & Platform engineering teams in Spain. You will oversee a world‑class group of roughly 14 engineers, driving the design, development and delivery of a global software platform that serves thousands of international customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define, drive and execute the business vision for Data & Platform solutions.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle and complex projects with significant bottom‑line impact.
• Partner with Product Managers to shape road‑maps and deliver compelling capabilities.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to assess feasibility and craft optimal technical designs.
• Instill best practices for development, documentation and quality assurance.
• Facilitate growth, performance monitoring and continuous learning for direct reports.
• Align engineering ways of working with HR and broader Santander objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in an agile or lean environment.
• Strong project‑management background, with ability to manage large‑scale, high‑impact initiatives.
• Excellent collaboration skills with product, program and technical stakeholders.
• Track record of building high‑performing, motivated software teams.
