Engineering Manager – FinTech Platform (Hybrid, Malaga)

About the role

We are partnering with a global FinTech company that builds large‑scale financial infrastructure for businesses operating internationally. The Engineering Manager will lead a backend/platform engineering team responsible for critical financial systems, shaping technical direction, delivery, reliability and team growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap for a core product domain.
• Lead, mentor and grow a team of engineers across delivery and technical execution.
• Drive architecture, reliability, scalability and overall engineering quality.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to align priorities.
• Manage sprint planning, delivery, incident response and operational health.
• Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in backend or platform engineering.
• Experience in fast‑moving product or FinTech environments.
• Deep understanding of agile delivery and engineering best practices.
• Ability to balance delivery speed with reliability and quality.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
