Engineering Manager

About the role

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join one of Preply’s high‑impact tribes – either the Growth Tribe, which drives learner acquisition, conversion and retention, or the Monetization Tribe, which powers the marketplace’s revenue engine. In this role you will shape strategy, execution and growth of engineering teams that impact millions of learners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow high‑performing engineering teams, fostering ownership, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Define long‑term vision and strategy, aligning engineering work with company objectives and product priorities.
• Partner with Product, Data and Design to prioritize high‑impact initiatives that deliver customer and business value.
• Own execution and delivery, balancing speed, quality and reliability while removing technical obstacles.
• Provide technical leadership on system design, architecture decisions and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience building, leading and scaling development teams.
• People‑centric approach with strong coaching, mentorship and team‑building skills.
• Strong technical judgment, systems thinking and ability to drive architectural discussions.
• Proven ability to partner with product, design and data teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a track record of achieving ambitious, business‑focused goals.
