External Account Manager – Pharma

About the role

The External Account Manager – Pharma will join Brenntag’s Pharma division in Barcelona, managing and expanding key customer relationships across the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, cross‑selling solutions and ensuring long‑term partnership success in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow existing key accounts (Gold, Silver, Bronze) by maximizing sales through cross‑selling and value‑based pricing.
• Identify new business opportunities, convert prospects into long‑term customers and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Plan and execute regular customer visits, respond to RFQs and prepare tailored proposals.
• Analyse customer potential, define actionable growth plans and lead related projects.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM (Salesforce) and ensure timely reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Chemistry or related field).
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in pharma, chemicals or a related industry.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Fluent in English and Catalan, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
• Familiarity with SAP or comparable enterprise systems.
