Facilitator (Project‑Based Teacher) for Grades 9‑12

About the role

ACIL International High School seeks a full‑time Facilitator to guide students in Grades 9‑12 through multidisciplinary, inquiry‑driven projects. The role moves beyond traditional lecturing, focusing on designing real‑world learning experiences that spark curiosity and empower students to own their education.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement multidisciplinary projects linked to real‑world questions.
• Translate academic standards into engaging, curiosity‑driven learning experiences.
• Guide students through research, discussion, experimentation, and creation.
• Coach students during independent and personalized academic work.
• Pose challenging questions that develop critical thinking.
• Support the creation of books, exhibitions, campaigns, prototypes, performances, and community projects.
• Leverage businesses, universities, cultural spaces, and community organisations as extensions of the classroom.
• Lead discussions, collaborative work, and reflective sessions.
• Track academic progress and deliver specific feedback.
• Support diverse abilities, interests, and learning needs.
• Build strong relationships with students and families.
• Prepare students for university, entrepreneurship, and the workplace.
• Supervise field experiences and learning activities across Valencia.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the student experience.
