FAL Representative C295 Make in India (Expatriation)

About the role

Airbus is looking for a Production Manager (FAL representative) for the C295 Make in India programme, acting as Airbus operations representative at the TASL (Tata Advanced Systems Limited) site in Vadodara, India. The site integrates fuselage, wings and other main constituent assemblies into complete aircraft, which are then delivered to the flight line and delivery centre. The role involves coordinating the operational resident team with production, quality, maintenance engineering and procurement, and with the wider Airbus stakeholders, and requires a 2 to 3-year expatriation.

Key responsibilities

• Indirectly lead up to 50 people deployed at the FAL during industrialisation, with some later forming part of the resident office
• Lead escalations with suppliers and run daily reviews with Airbus stakeholders
• Manage demand for Airbus S&E and parts, and coordinate with MFT in Hyderabad for MCAs deliveries
• Monitor Airbus and supplier contract compliance (CDRLs and milestones) and support company offset obligations
• Represent the function in site escalation forums (N3/N4 SQCDP and Site Committees) and drive issue resolution
• Coordinate Airbus site personnel to meet production plans, quality standards and cost targets, and align subcontractors and internal teams (Quality, Supply Chain, MRB, Design Office, Logistics, Engineering, Tooling)
• Oversee aircraft delivery to the flight line and customer acceptance, and enforce Airbus health and safety standards and the FOD programme

Required profile

• Available for a 2 to 3-year expatriation to the India Flight Line in Vadodara
• Strategic leadership, stakeholder management and team leadership abilities
• Ability to resolve conflicts with a win-win approach and to build strong internal relationships
