Field Service Engineer - Radiotherapy LINACs

About the role

Siemens Healthineers is looking for a Field Service Engineer based in Alicante, Spain, to complete technical service tasks and help plan and manage them. The role covers the full service life of radiotherapy linear accelerators (LINACs), working with radiation oncology departments, medical physicists and clinical users to keep treatment delivery systems running safely and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical service activities for installation, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades and performance verification of LINACs.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, electromechanical and connectivity issues to restore system functionality quickly.
• Prioritize service activities and plan interventions to minimise customer downtime and disruption to patient treatment schedules.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support and act as a second and third-level escalation resource for complex issues.
• Use remote monitoring and predictive maintenance tools to identify potential equipment issues early.
• Collaborate with radiation oncology departments, medical physicists and clinical users on safe operation of treatment systems.
• Support hardware and software updates, modifications and field actions across the equipment lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, technical reports and system records in line with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Siemens Healthineers quality processes, radiation safety requirements, customer site procedures and regulations.
• Contribute to improving service tools, procedures, knowledge bases and processes, and support customer education on system operation and maintenance.
