Field Service Engineer - Tarragona

About the role

GE Healthcare is looking for a Field Service Engineer based in Tarragona. The role covers preventive and remedial maintenance, repairs and refurbishment of sold or existing medical products on customers' sites, including managing maintenance facilities and field services engineering. It is accountable for the quality of own work and operates under direct supervision and prescribed work instructions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all models specific to a modality in the assigned area.
• Perform full system-level troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom problems.
• Communicate clearly with end-users and department managers about equipment status and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Assist in account sales visits, help train others, identify sales opportunities and share best practices.
• Contribute to the growth and direction of business in the geographic area.
• Control warranty and PMS contract costs and complete administrative tasks on time, such as FMI and PMS inspection documentation.
• Take a leading role in complex, multifunctional rooms and maintain quality systems compliant with ISO 9001.

Required profile

• Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electromechanics or Biomedical Engineering Technology, or solid experience as a Field Service Engineer.
• Experience in electromedicine or imaging (healthcare sector).
• Good knowledge of English to follow training and communicate fluently.
• Desired: ability to manage people and resources, and strong business acumen.
