Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller is a senior member of Digicel’s Finance Department, responsible for leading financial accounting, reporting, and treasury functions while ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet and payroll processes. The role works closely with Business Risk, FP&A, and the Shared Service Centre teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all Group and market financial reporting deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
• Lead month‑end close activities, reviewing journals, revenue, direct costs, and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Prepare annual audited financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage fixed‑assets accounting, cash capex reporting and forecasting.
• Supervise accounts receivable and payable functions, including aging analysis, bad‑debt provisions, and working‑capital optimisation.
• Review and reconcile general‑ledger balances and month‑end balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate external and internal audits and support the CFO in audit‑committee reporting.
• Maintain a strong control environment and ensure compliance with Group accounting policies.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with proven leadership experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to act as a trusted business partner.
• Excellent communication skills and experience motivating cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage balance‑sheet risks and uphold governance standards.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
