Financial Controller – Marketplace SaaS Platform

About the role

Ivy Decarb is seeking a diligent Senior Financial Controller to oversee the financial health and back‑office operations of its global textile‑machinery marketplace. Based in Madrid, you will ensure accurate reporting, robust internal controls, and efficient administrative processes across multiple international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with applicable standards.
• Manage local and international tax reporting, VAT compliance and ensure adherence to financial regulations in all operating markets.
• Develop, implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies to protect company assets.
• Supervise back‑office functions including payroll, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable and global administrative support.
• Assist with cash‑flow management, banking relationships and treasury activities to optimise working capital.
• Identify and drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives within finance and back‑office functions.

Required profile

• 4+ years of progressive experience in financial control, accounting and back‑office management.
• At least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role, preferably within a technology, SaaS or international B2B marketplace environment.
• Experience with a top‑tier audit firm is a strong advantage.
• Fluent English communication skills.
