Financial & Credit Operations Associate

About the role

EDP is seeking a Financial & Credit Operations Associate to support its Corporate Finance Department. The role focuses on managing financial instruments and working‑capital solutions across global platforms, helping to optimise liquidity, cost efficiency and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of financial instruments – issuance, renewal, amendment, monitoring and cancellation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of active positions, tracking amounts, maturities, costs and counterparties.
• Liaise with banking partners and external counterparties to ensure efficient execution and resolve queries.
• Monitor facility utilisation, support liquidity planning and anticipate funding needs.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts and periodic reports for management, parent‑company reporting and annual accounts.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards providing real‑time visibility on exposures and program performance.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate cost and facility projections.
• Act as the financial operations focal point for Procurement, Origination, Asset Management, PMO, Legal, Tax and Accounting.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Legal on documentation, booking, disclosure and audit support.
• Ensure compliance with Group policies, internal controls and IFRS/GAAP standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration (MBA or master’s a plus).
• 3‑5 years of experience in corporate or trade finance, treasury or a similar role.
• Experience in the energy sector is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
