Flammability Reduction System Engineer – Internship (XPLORER 2027)

About the role

Airbus is offering a six‑month curricular practicum in Getafe, Spain, for final‑year aeronautical engineering students. The internship is part of the XPLORER 2027 program and will serve as the student’s Bachelor’s Degree Final Project (TFG). The placement is part‑time (25 hours per week, 8 am‑1 pm) and includes a dedicated tutor for continuous monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Define system architecture specifications.
• Design the overall system architecture.
• Specify equipment architecture requirements.
• Develop validation and verification strategy up to Entry into Service.
• Customize system development activities up to Entry into Service.

Required profile

• Enrolled in the final year of an Aeronautical Engineering degree.
• English proficiency minimum B2 (C1 desirable) and Spanish minimum B1.
• General knowledge of aircraft systems.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team spirit and ability to work in an international environment.

Required skills

• Amesim (system simulation tool).
