FL&DC Representative C295 Make in India (Expatriation)

About the role

Airbus is recruiting a Production Manager for the C295 Make in India programme, acting as Airbus operations representative for the Flight Line (FL) and Delivery Center (DC) at the TASL site in Vadodara, India. The role coordinates the operational resident team across production, quality, maintenance engineering and procurement, and works with Airbus stakeholders as the FL&DC Industrial Representative. It involves indirect leadership of up to 10 people deployed at the FL&DC, and requires a 2 to 3-year expatriation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and manage team leaders, foremen and technicians to ensure proper execution of activities and collaboration with TASL.
• Lead the operational team during aircraft delivery and establish a clear, efficient way of working aligned with Airbus standards.
• Take part in escalation forums at the FL site and prioritise Airbus manufacturing activities to meet the production plan, quality and cost targets.
• Follow up production and define KPIs with TASL, maximising customer satisfaction by meeting commitment dates and quality expectations.
• Coordinate activities of Airbus subcontractors and support departments such as Manufacturing, Production Control, Quality, Supply Chain, MRB, Tooling, Design Office and Logistics.
• Support the cultural transformation toward product protection through FOD prevention, and ensure health and safety, ethics and compliance standards are applied on the shop floor.
• Build a high-performance team ready to handle complex technical problems under pressure, and coordinate with the LTA FAL series when needed.

The C295 programme is the first private-sector Make in India aerospace project, with 40 aircraft assembled in India while the first 16 fly away from Airbus's final assembly line in Seville. The role is based in San Pablo (Seville) and FAL (Vadodara).
