Flight Line & Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is seeking a Flight Line & Maintenance Engineer to join its Flight Line Centre in Getafe, Madrid. Working on a double‑shift schedule, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining A330 MRTT aircraft, ensuring they meet all operational, safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement delivery, base and line maintenance activities for A330 MRTT aircraft.
• Lead a multifunctional team covering production, quality, engineering, planning, supply chain and support resources.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external subcontractors to ensure seamless operations.
• Manage security, safety and health‑and‑safety responsibilities within your area.
• Execute mid‑term and short‑term planning, monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Evaluate Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and related documentation.
• Maintain quality, FOD control and housekeeping standards on the aircraft and surrounding area.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2‑5 years of experience in aircraft operations and team management.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, engineering and business processes.
• Commitment to innovation, digitalisation and continuous improvement.
