FP&A Controller – Business Partnering & Financial Planning

About the role

Vicens Vives, part of Sanoma Learning, is seeking an experienced FP&A Controller to join its Finance team in Barcelona. The role focuses on financial planning, analysis, and business partnering, helping drive performance and value across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial analysis, including P&L, KPI tracking, and variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Support the budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning processes.
• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely reports for local management and Group Finance.
• Monitor business performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Contribute to decision‑making and performance‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure data consistency, reconciliation and high reporting quality.
• Drive enhancements in financial processes, reporting and data accessibility.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in FP&A, controlling or a similar finance role.
• Strong analytical mindset with solid financial modelling capabilities.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Hands‑on, proactive and business‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Knowledge of SAP systems (Business One is a plus).
