Freelance Lecturer – Data Analytics & IT Management

About the role

The Business School of Barcelona International (BSBI) seeks experienced freelance lecturers to teach Data Analytics and IT Management modules in its Barcelona and Madrid campuses. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality instruction, designing curricula, and assessing student performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct teaching and examination duties in line with study regulations.
• Design and develop instructional materials that enhance student engagement.
• Revise and create new curricula for assigned modules.
• Prepare examinations and other assessment tools, ensuring timely delivery.
• Grade examinations and submit results within stipulated deadlines.
• Organise and supervise the inspection of written examinations.
• Participate in teaching evaluations and complete evaluation sheets.
• Supervise and assess student dissertations.

Required profile

• PhD or PhD candidate with strong knowledge in at least two areas such as Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Big Data, NLP, or Robotics.
• Prior teaching experience at university level.
• Scientific publications in a related discipline.
• Fluent spoken and written English (C2); Spanish knowledge is desirable.
• Good understanding of study regulations and timetabling software.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows OS.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with educational platforms (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
• Working knowledge of timetabling software.
