Freelance Lecturer – Global MBA Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) seeks a freelance lecturer to deliver Finance and Accounting modules for its Global MBA programme in Barcelona. The role starts in July 2026 and involves teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship in English (and optionally Spanish).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and assessments for Finance and Accounting courses, ensuring alignment with the MBA curriculum.
• Design, update or create new module syllabi, assignment briefs and exam papers as required.
• Supervise dissertations and provide academic mentoring to MBA students.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, grades and feedback while ensuring confidentiality.

Required profile

• PhD/DBA or MBA/Master’s degree in a business discipline with strong finance/accounting expertise.
• Prior teaching experience at university level and a record of scientific publications.
• Fluent spoken and written English (minimum IELTS 6.5) and Spanish.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows OS and the full Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Microsoft Teams and educational platforms such as Canvas or Blackboard.
• Working knowledge of timetabling software and academic study regulations.
