Front Office Intern – Receptionist Trainee

About the role

SO/ Sotogrande, a luxury resort in Sotogrande, Spain, is looking for a Front Office Intern (Receptionist Trainee) to join its team. The internship gives hands-on experience in the Front Office department, supporting reception operations, guest assistance and processes such as check-in, check-out and guest request handling. It is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests on arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
• Process check-ins and check-outs using the hotel's property management system
• Support the front desk team with guest inquiries and requests
• Help manage room assignments and keep guest records accurate
• Handle basic administrative tasks, including answering phones and emails
• Shadow experienced staff to learn hotel operations and guest service standards
• Take part in training sessions on customer service and hotel procedures
• Promote hotel services and amenities to guests
• Handle basic financial transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Work with other departments to ensure smooth guest experiences

Required profile

• Agreement with the school is required
• Strong interest in a career in hospitality
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
• Customer-oriented, friendly and professional attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
• Property management system (PMS)
