FTL Freight Forwarder

About the role

AsstrA, a logistics and transportation services group with more than 900 employees, is looking for an FTL Freight Forwarder in Valencia. The role covers planning and organizing international shipments, negotiating costs and coordinating carriers.

Key responsibilities

• Research and plan the most suitable route for each shipment, taking into account perishable or dangerous goods, cost, transit time and safety.
• Negotiate contracts, transportation and handling costs.
• Select carriers and build a reliable carrier network.
• Offer road consolidation services and organize courier services and specialized manual handling.
• Maintain communication and control throughout the journey, including management reports and statistical and unit cost analyses.

Required profile

• Experience in FTL and LTL shipments in freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of the road freight market, including trends and pricing.
• Proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Native-level Spanish; English at B2 level.
