Full Stack Developer

About the role

Netenders is building a next‑generation e‑commerce Content Management System and needs a Full Stack Developer to help shape its architecture and delivery. The role is full‑time, based in Barcelona with hybrid flexibility, and can be taken as a permanent position or a freelance collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Redesign, customize and optimise multiple e‑commerce websites.
• Develop and maintain React‑based front‑ends for online stores.
• Extend the internal CMS, focusing on purchase‑order workflows, supplier integrations and large‑scale data processing.
• Build back‑office services for product management, pricing and SEO data.
• Design clean, scalable APIs and ensure seamless front‑end integration.
• Review pull requests, support QA activities and share best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product, IT, Marketing and Design teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails (version 5 or newer) and proven upgrade experience.
• 3+ years building modern front‑ends with React.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns and RESTful API design.
• Passion for writing scalable, maintainable code and mentoring peers.
• Experience in e‑commerce or complex backend systems is essential.
