Geotechnical Engineer – Offshore Wind

About the role

Q ENERGY is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to support offshore wind projects across Europe. The role will lead geotechnical site characterisation, data quality control and provide technical input for fixed and floating foundations, mooring systems and subsea cable designs.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical focal point for geotechnical deliverables, ensuring QA/QC and producing inputs for foundation and cable packages.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams, certify soil data, and support interactions with project certification bodies.
• Lead geoscience workstreams for bids or projects, managing budget, schedule, risk and procurement aspects.
• Supervise geotechnical survey operations and review technical reports.
• Contribute to R&D, develop in‑house geotechnical tools and integrate them with structural and installation teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in offshore geotechnical engineering, preferably within the wind sector.
• Strong understanding of foundation, mooring and subsea cable design requirements.
• Ability to manage technical packages, budgets and schedules.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
