Geothermal Supervisor / Senior Operator

About the role

Air Drilling Associates is seeking a Geothermal Supervisor/Senior Operator to lead and operate geothermal drilling equipment on on‑site projects in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife area. You will manage daily technical activities, ensure strict safety compliance, and drive optimal project performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and operate geothermal drilling rigs and related equipment.
• Coordinate field teams and manage day‑to‑day operational tasks.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Optimize drilling parameters to achieve project targets.
• Report progress and issues to project management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or engineering experience is a plus.
• Proven experience in geothermal supervision and operations.
• Leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities in complex field environments.
• EU nationality or unrestricted legal authorization to work in Spain.

Required skills

• Air drilling techniques.
• Use of aerated fluids and foam drilling systems.
• Knowledge of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) – desirable.
• Knowledge of Underbalanced Drilling (UBD) – desirable.
