About the role

Join Airbus Defence and Space as a Graduate Air-to-Air Refuelling Systems Engineer and start a two‑year development journey that combines technical training with leadership development. You will work on cutting‑edge refuelling technologies while gaining a deep understanding of Airbus’ business and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and analysis of air‑to‑air refuelling techniques, systems and automation concepts.
• Develop fluid‑dynamics, electromechanical and high‑performance computing solutions for critical refuelling functions.
• Apply computer‑vision techniques and modelling of complex physical systems to improve system performance.
• Contribute to the development of fuel‑hose‑and‑drogue, boom, vision and utility systems, as well as related software.
• Complete at least one rotational placement to broaden expertise across the refuelling capability.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in aeronautical or aircraft systems engineering.
• Recent graduate or first‑professional experience in the aeronautical field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Motivation to work collaboratively and drive future innovation.
• Self‑awareness and a proactive attitude toward personal development.
