Group Chief Executive Officer

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional leader to steer the strategic direction, growth, and performance of a leading financial services group. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Group CEO will own strategy execution, financial results, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to achieve the organization’s vision, growth and long‑term success.
• Develop and implement strategies that ensure sustainable growth, profitability and competitive advantage.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, reporting and financial governance.
• Lead business development, risk management, enterprise risk, governance and business continuity initiatives.
• Partner with the Board to set strategic priorities, deliver business results and advise on investments, acquisitions and divestments.
• Build and inspire a high‑performing leadership team and foster a culture of accountability, innovation and integrity.
• Maintain strong relationships with investors, regulators, governments, clients, employees and the wider community while upholding the highest standards of ethics and compliance.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in a relevant discipline or a recognized professional designation (e.g., CFA, ACCA, CIMA) – or a first degree with at least 16 years of senior executive experience.
• Minimum 12 years of successful senior executive experience in banking or financial services.
• Proven track record of strategic leadership, business growth and delivering organizational performance in complex environments.
• Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship‑building abilities.
• High emotional intelligence, commercial acumen and the ability to drive results through collaboration and innovation.
