Group Chief Financial Controller

About the role

The successful incumbent will be responsible for developing and directing financial plans and perspectives to support the Group’s strategic business plan and growth opportunities. They will also oversee, assess and direct all financial activities of the Group, including preparation of financial reports, summaries and forecasts for future business growth and economic outlook.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the Group's financial performance and direct timely preparation of all financial reports.
• Oversee the preparation and review of the annual budget and quarterly/annual financial statements.
• Analyse projected revenue, expenses, profit and asset value against actual figures and suggest improvements.
• Ensure accounting and financial control systems are effective and compliant with IFRS and relevant regulations.
• Approve income and expenditure vouchers within authorised limits and act as authorised signatory.
• Optimise Group tax efficiency and capital management by providing expertise and advice.
• Manage liquidity, interest and currency rate risk exposure across local and foreign denominations.
• Oversee treasury functions, FX trading activities and relationships with banks and funding agencies.
• Provide oversight for the Group Sourcing and Procurement Unit and guide tendering processes.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in a relevant discipline or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA, CIMA).
• Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 10 years at senior managerial level.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulatory environment and financial reporting standards (IFRS).
• Proven ability to lead finance teams, manage budgets and drive strategic financial planning.
