Head of Finance

About the role
FIA, a Madrid‑based architecture practice now part of the Egis Group, is creating a standalone finance leadership position to support its integration and ambitious growth strategy. Reporting day‑to‑day to the Managing Director of FIA and functionally to the Finance Director of the 10N Collective, the Head of Finance will act as the primary financial partner for the business.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with the Managing Director as trusted finance advisor, providing real‑time insight, challenge and support across the business.
- Line‑manage the FIA finance function, including the financial controller.
- Serve as the main finance liaison with Egis Group, the EURA region, shared service centres, auditors, tax advisors and banking contacts.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, medium‑term planning and the overall financial strategy in line with Group requirements.
- Produce monthly management reports covering P&L, cash, working capital, WIP, margins, KPIs and narrative commentary.
- Develop and maintain financial models for scenario analysis, performance tracking and strategic planning.
- Prepare concise financial presentations for senior stakeholders within FIA, 10N and the wider Group.
- Own project financial performance, monitoring economics, revenue recognition, margins, resource utilisation and WIP.
- Challenge and support cost control, fee management and project profitability, driving commercial awareness.
- Collaborate with the 10N central FP&A team, representing FIA in collective finance discussions.
Required profile
- Experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably within architecture, construction or a related professional services environment.
- Proven ability to act as a primary finance partner and trusted advisor to senior business leaders.
- Demonstrated experience line‑managing a finance team and coordinating with group‑level finance functions.
- Strong capability to lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and strategic planning cycles.
- Comfort with group consolidation requirements and cross‑regional financial compliance.
