Head of Legal

About the role

Youtrust, a European leader in electronic signature and trust services, is seeking a Head of Legal to lead its legal function. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on execution, supporting business growth, product development, regulatory compliance and AI‑driven efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a legal team of contracts, regulatory/product lawyers and an apprentice, defining priorities, KPIs and collaboration practices.
• Oversee and directly negotiate strategic contracts, partnerships, supplier agreements, distribution deals, RFPs and international NDAs in both French and English.
• Provide legal support to sales, customer success, product, tech, security, compliance, finance and people teams, ensuring fast, compliant commercial execution.
• Guide regulatory and trust‑service initiatives, working closely with product and tech to align with eIDAS 2.0, digital identity and cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in senior leadership decisions, reporting to the CFO and acting as a trusted business partner.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with fluency in French and English.
• Proven management experience leading a small legal team.
• Hands‑on, business‑oriented approach with ability to handle complex matters and deliver pragmatic solutions.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with B2B contracts, international agreements and regulatory environments.
